The next proposed element you should consider are accent tables. These don‘t serve any particular function except they are available when needed. They can be used for dining, double as a small coffee table and be moved into whatever location when needed. These tables come in petite sizes, some stack-able and some large, aren‘t very expensive and add a whole other dimension to a room. They can direct traffic flow at a party or act as art for the room.
Materials that are Inexpensive and Low-end- These tables are generally made from materials like: plywood, particle board, or MDF. These materials are typically light-weight compared to solid woods and may actually be hollow inside, so if under heavy use or moved around a lot, beware of puncturing or gouging the material as it will cause unsightly damage that is difficult to repair. While solid color or faux wood grain plastic laminate may coat plywood and particle board to create a smooth finish, MDF is already smooth and able to be painted. Square coffee tables made of these materials are typically inexpensive and will hold up to average, normal use, but be careful of heavy objects as they could cause the table to bow. Also, lighter weight materials may cause the table to slide out of place with a simple nudge. Lastly, check the finish/coating on top to assure it can withstand condensation from drinks that may cause water rings or stains. If there are no concerns with the above issues, an inexpensive coffee table may be right for you and your budget!
One of these tables is called a coffee table, you can serve coffee in this table but its function does not end there. You can also serve food on it, decorate if you want and put some magazines on it. You can use it like a normal table their only difference is their height and the room in which they are assigned. Coffee tables are usually found in the living space of your house for one of its uses is to be the center of social gatherings. Also this table is the first table that guest usually notice when they enter your living room.
