As people moved away from cocktails toward coffee, J. Stuart Foote was there to meet the new demand, and named himself the inventor of the coffee table. Until Mr. Foote’s company - the Imperial Furniture Company - began mass producing this newly needed furniture, ordinary citizens were relegated to sawing the legs of higher tables to bring them down to the appropriate height. Despite its relatively recent beginning, the coffee table quickly gained popularity in the American home.
The maintenance of a mahogany coffee table is not difficult. It needs to be cleaned with a soft glass cloth thus making the table look bright and shiny. Although these tables are expensive yet there is no harm in one buying it as it shows out as an exclusive taste and stands out from rest of the home decor due to its elite appearance.
